Growing fund manager in the alternatives space, with a genuinely unique offering requires a professional and motivated Senior BDM with an existing network in the Adviser/ HNW channel. It's a business which has an entrepreneurial spirit and client focus which is unmatched in the industry. You'll work with a highly respected CEO, who will guide and advise but not micro. It's a business full of motivated, high activity individuals who work to a shared purpose of becoming the preeminent business in the alternatives funds management world.



Responsibilities


  • Approach target clients at regular intervals to ensure up-to-date knowledge and understanding of those clients and their portfolios
  • Provide ongoing weekly feedback and to the internal team e.g. file notes, in order for the CRM to be maintained
  • Update and maintain the CRM system with the sales pipeline, distribution list and contacts
  • Complete weekly and monthly sales reporting as per the provided template
  • Complete quarterly sales strategy papers as per the provided template
  • Complete a strategy paper per target client as per the provided template
  • Actively pitch to prospective clients and involve the wider sales/marketing team and affiliate managers where required in order to close those opportunities and increase assets under management
  • AUM targets as per KPI report which is set annually and reviewed quarterly



Business Development


  • Review and, in cooperation with the wider team and its affiliate managers, tailor marketing materials for specific clients and upcoming pitches. This would include presentations, RFP’s and other marketing documents
  • Participate in client and product strategy discussions in order to identify new opportunities
  • Conduct new business development activities (research, cold calls, market analysis) to add to the prospect client list
  • Promote the fund and its affiliate managers in the market and execute a prior approved PR plan with this objective
  • Participate in organising and attending roadshows for prospects and clients. This may entail you doing meeting with clients outside of your target list



This is a business where as a Senior BDM you can be very successful financially whilst still working within a team focused environment. They would like a confident and outbound candidate who can create opportunities, but also someone who listens and is prepared to put in the hard yards to really know their client base. Ideally you will come from funds management, or potentially financial advice if your role in that space involved opening doors. The team culture is warm and collegiate but also hard-working and busy so this needs to be something you want.
